Swedish

Swedish massage is known as the basic relaxation massage. Swedish massage consists of using long flowing strokes, rubbing, kneading and joint movements of the soft tissues of the body. The many benefits include generalized relaxation, dissolution of scar tissue adhesions and improved circulation, which may speed healing and reduce swelling from an injury. Swedish massage increases the oxygen flow in the blood and releases toxins from the muscles. It increases circulation without increasing the heart load. Relax...You Deserve it!

Prenatal/Pregnancy Massage

Relaxed in a specialized pregnancy table, many methods of massage are both effective and safe prenatally and during labor and postpartum periods of women's pregnancies. Prenatal/Pregnancy massage helps provide relaxation, relieve stress on weight-bearing joints (ankles, low back and pelvis), alleviate neck and back pain caused by muscle imbalance and weakness, assist in maintaining proper posture, assist in removal of unwanted fluids and toxins to help in avoiding toxemia, and to prepare the birthing muscles used during childbirth.

Deep Tissue

Techniques that utilize deep tissue/deep muscle massage are administered to affect the sub-layer of musculature and fascia. These techniques require more advanced training and a more thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology. It is used through slower strokes and more direct deep pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles, not with the grain. Deep tissue massage helps with chronic muscular pain and injury rehabilitation and reduces inflammation-related pain caused by arthritis and tendonitis. Deep tissue massage helps break up and eliminate scar tissue. It helps with chronic muscular pain, injury rehabilitation and inflammation-related pain. It is both corrective and therapeutic.

Hot Stone Massage

Hot stone massage is a form of bodywork that involves the application of smooth heated stones to the body during the deep tissue massage. These stones are usually heated to about 130°F to help tight muscles release. This form of massage is therapeutic and relaxing, while targeting more deep pressure on the stressed parts of the body.

Trigger Point Massage

Trigger points are knots which develop in a muscle when it is injured or overworked. Trigger points usually send their pain to some other site. The displacement of pain is what throws everybody off, including most doctors. Pain is a message that something is wrong and needs your attention. Trigger points cause headaches, neck and jaw pain, low back pain, tennis elbow and carpal tunnel syndrome. Trigger point massage is used to relieve muscular pain and dysfunction through applied pressure to trigger points of referred pain and through stretching exercises.
